making the library user friendly for homeschoolers
A homeschooling magazine crossed my desk today. It featured an article "19 ways to get the most from your library". This article got me thinking, there are a number of different ways that homeschoolers could use the library, and it is currently not being used to its full potential. The library would be a great place for kids to meet, do research, learn about all the library skills, join a book club, attend events .... the list goes on. We would appreciate input about what would be useful to the homeschoolers in our area. Thursday mornings would be a great time to bring your kids for any of the activities mentioned earlier. Would a book club meet your needs? How about a discussion group? Is there a magazine that you would love to see us order? We would be happy to help locate materials needed for your lessons. We would even consider creating programming to meet your needs. We offer an assortment of online tools and databases as well as books, movies, and Internet access. I encourage you to come in, or give us a call, or even comment on this blog and let us know how we can best support you. If you'd like to learn more about how the library can be useful to you come on in and I would be happy to share the article with you.

I was blog walking tonight and stumbled on your site.
I'm a children's author and new to blogging. I started my blog to encourage creativity in writers, parents, and teachers.
Please come visit. My site would be great for homeschoolers!
